Child Protection & Safeguarding
At the International School of Bologna, we are committed to safeguarding and to promoting the well-being of every learner and expect that everyone working with us shares this commitment. It is school policy to actively seek confidential references for all new employees. New employees coming from outside Italy are required to provide a police background check from their current country of employment/residence and from previous countries they have worked in. For local hires, a police background check is carried out with the local authorities.
Equal Opportunities
ISB aims to nurture students who embrace cultures beyond their own, students who are aware of their own bias, and who can reflect and take action that has positive consequences for both their local community and beyond. We are an equal opportunity organization, striving to ensure that our environment is welcoming — a place in which everyone can thrive. We build trusting relationships to promote diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice ensuring that all individuals feel valued regardless of their backgrounds. ISB does not and shall not discriminate on the basis of race, skin color, religion (creed), gender, gender expression, age, national origin (ancestry), disability, marital status, sexual orientation, or military status, in any of its activities or operations.
Unfortunately, the current Italian visa regulations, which are outside of the school’s control, prohibit ISB from freely offering employment to candidates who do not already hold an EU/EEA passport or a valid work permit in Italy.
